The Metropolitan Readiness Test otherwise known as the MRT is a nationally recognized entrance test for kindergarten and 1st grade levels. Most of our children, on average, test out beyond kindergarten and are ready for 1st grade level work. Throughout the year at Dover Montessori we prepare our children for this annual MRT focused in the areas of math & languages.
This year’s MRT will begin on May 15th and conclude on the 24th. Morning testing will be for children ages 4 1/2 – 6 year old, only,
Parents will receive testing results by June 15th and will receive a review printout with recommendations for where the child needs to focus in those four areas of testing. Our directoress will analyze the results and provide those recommendations to the parents.
This evaluation will be what the child has learned throughout the beginning of the year and what they must work on.
Just another way to prepare our children for later learning.
