Dear Parents:
“Let’s Get Acquainted” Open house event held at Dover Montessori on Thursday, September 27th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This is a covered dish dinner. Every parent please bring a main dish enough for 8 to 12 people. Call the school for suggestions. Children, friends, and family are all welcome! Children will not attend future meetings.
Student Records – Please help us maintain accurate records at school. Please review all paperwork, physical forms, volunteer forms etc. and turn in no later than Friday, September 21st.
“Granny Franny” will be here Tuesdays from 11-12 to share musical activities. Music will include singing, circle games, story songs, simple rhythms, rhythm instruments, and musical movement. We will even make some musical instruments to take home. Along with reading to your children, be sure to sing to them, too. Remember – everyone is a music-maker!
Weekly Specials: Monday & Wednesdays – Computers w. Ms. Pam; Tuesday – Music w. Granny Franny; Thursday – Science w. Ms. Bonni; Friday – Chinese w. Ms. Ying. (AM classes only – specials are held between 11-12 before half day dismissal at 12:30)
Parents will be informed of any schedule changes.
September is Recycling Month! – Please bring small craft items. Our class will be practicing recycling. We have 3 science projects that will be introduced by Mrs. Peg & Ms. Bonni: Each child will need an empty plastic 12oz. water bottle with lid. Please write your child’s name on the bottle.
We will be exploring:
1. What does nature recycle?
2. How much plastic do we use and how much do we discard?
3. Water – Our most important natural resource.

2 Bottles of Juicy Juice (or Apple Juice) are to be brought in each month. Check with the front desk at sign in each time you bring in 2 cans. Juice should be brought in the first week of each month. Parents are welcome to contribute snacks anytime. Thanks!
(Check with Ms. Peg for birthday treats) NO SUGAR SNACKS IN THE LUNCHES!!! All lunches should have juice provided.
$25.00 Computer payments are due at the first of each month with tuition. Starting September 4th! Tuition payments are due on Monday, late by Tuesday.
Weekly reports will be given out each Friday at the closing of the day in the parent inbox. Three day/Half day parents need to request their report the day their child leaves the center.
Notes: Be sure to provide a light jacket or sweater and a change of clothes. Please put names on all items! Parents please remember Pictures – Family photos(no larger than 4×6), We are doing a class project “Family Tree!” for our classroom collection. Photos should be brought in the first week of school as this is a September project. You may see your family photo on our website!
Ms. Peg’s class only: Bring 2 Dollar Store 1st grade writing tablets (double lined paper), and 2 sharpened pencils.
Every student needs to bring hand sanitizer and a box of tissues. No bookbag is required! The school is happy to provide crayons, rulers, markers, scissors, etc. for your child.
